The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brogor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Brogor shoots in but Avalon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Oooh a lovely combination from Avalon sends Brogor down but not out. Avalon dives into side control looking to finish.
Brogor is rocked!
It looks like Jabrond Brogor has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Avalon tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Brogor tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Avalon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brogor gets back to half guard.
Avalon tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Brogor.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brogor trying to control but Avalon postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brogor tries to roll over but Avalon keeps him under control.
Brogor is looking to control Avalon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brogor avoid being mounted?
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Brogor or perhaps it was just good defense by Avalon which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jabrond Brogor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Avalon feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Brogor crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
