Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lehel Bartasz (ranked 766 p4p, 1142 weight class) and Inspektor Gee (ranked 124 p4p, 175 weight class). Bartasz comes into the arena with Manowar... blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lehel Bartasz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Inspektor Gee! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gee checks a leg kick. We've been hearing reports that Bartasz has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Gee misses the shot to the body. Bartasz throwing a counter right hand but Gee manages to avoid it. Gee fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bartasz checks it well. Gee misses with a looping left. Nice uppercut there from Bartasz. Gee throws a right and a left that Bartasz avoids nicely. Bartasz was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Bartasz avoids the head kick by Gee.

It looks like Inspektor Gee has been cut. Gee lands a high kick!
A swing and a miss from Bartasz. Gee throws a nice inside leg kick. Bartasz throws a hook but Gee avoids it easily. Bartasz misses with a looping right. A slow jab from Bartasz misses its intended target. Gee scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

That's one minute gone in the round. Bartasz throws a big shot that misses. Good leg kick by Bartasz. Bartasz lands a nice shot that snaps Gee's head back.

A jab from Bartasz misses. Gee's coach down at St Petersburg MMA Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gee's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Inspektor Gee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice body punch from Gee. Gee misses with a looping left. Gee misses with a double jab.
Nice uppercut there from Bartasz. Gee throws a wild body kick that Bartasz sees coming a mile off. Gee takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Gee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bartasz lands a really nice looking cross but Gee seems unphased.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gee misses with a lunging right hand
and Bartasz makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bartasz with the inside leg kick. Bartasz scores with a hook to the body. Gee takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Bartasz misses with a looping left. Gee takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Bartasz lands with an overhand left. Bartasz slips under a jab from Gee. Gee feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bartaszs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Gee avoids the body shot from Bartasz.
The fighters circling - Gee throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Gee goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Bartasz throws a sloppy body shot
and Gee counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bartasz's knee momentarily. Gee misses with a hook. Gee lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bartasz's sensitive parts. A big right from Gee misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gee lands a nice leg kick that just misses Bartasz's sensitive parts. Gee takes a swing at Bartasz's ribcage but misses. Gee fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bartasz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Gee throws a lazy uppercut
and Bartasz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A jab from Bartasz misses. A shot to the body from Bartasz misses and Gee counters with a three punch combo that has Bartasz backing up. Bartasz nods at Gee to acknowledge the strikes. Bartasz jabs Gee right on the nose. Gee blinks but takes it well. Bartasz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bartasz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gee is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bartasz has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bartasz has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Gee is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Bartasz yanks on the arm and Gee is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Bartasz.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Lehel Bartasz! Our winner, Lehel Bartasz, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
