The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin throws a hook to the side of Umm's head but Umm sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Umm misses with a hook. Karelin ducked under it nicely.
Ruslan Karelin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Umm. No joy for Karelin on that attempt.
Umm displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Karelin throws out the jab.
Umm misses with a straight left.

Karelin closes the distance and clinches.
A hook to the body from Umm.
Karelin misses with a hook from the clinch.
Umm jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Karelin walks away with a smile on his face. Umm gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Karelin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Umm seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Umm misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Karelin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karelin tries to clinch up but Umm circles away and keeps his distance.
Umm connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Ruslan Karelin has been cut.
A jab from Karelin misses.
Karelin fails in his attempt to clinch.

Rect Umm is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nice defenses there by Umm.
Umm throws a body punch but Karelin moves out of range.
Nice shot lands for Karelin.
Umm slips under a jab from Karelin.
Umm's jab looks to have found its range, popping Karelin under the eye.
Karelin misses with a body kick.

Karelin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Karelin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Karelin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Umm pushes Karelin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Karelin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Karelin has hold of Umm's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Umm tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Karelin cranks the arm and Umm screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Umm, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
