Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Generic Fighter (ranked 4720 p4p, 4623 weight class) and Harold Hogfish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Generic Fighter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harold Hogfish! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fighter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hogfish fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hogfish shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fighter pinned against the cage. Fighter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hogfish staying out of range there. Fighter connects with a right hand. Hogfish shakes it off. Hogfish fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Generic Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harold Hogfish. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hogfish shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fighter but Fighter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hogfish throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hogfish. Fighter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fighter throws a body shot but no joy. Fighter lands with a nice body punch. Fighter jabs Hogfish to the body, keeping him at a distance. Fighter looks to land a left hand but Hogfish moved out of range nicely. Fighter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hogfish moves away. Hogfish looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Generic Fighter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hogfish shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fighter as he avoids it easily. Fighter scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fighter, as that shot connected.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Fighter throws a jab but it's blocked by Hogfish. The fight stays on the outside here - Hogfish looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Good shot there by Fighter. Horrible takedown attempt by Hogfish or perhaps it was just good defense by Fighter, which made it look bad. An attempted straight right counter from Fighter misses the target. Fighter throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hogfish walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Fighter throws a jab when Hogfish was well out of range. Hogfish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fighter swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hogfish finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogfish keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fighter lands with a nice body punch. Hogfish tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fighter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hogfish is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Fighter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hogfish moves away. Fighter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hogfish sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fighter misses with a hook
and Fighter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Fighter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fighter misses with a looping left. Hogfish will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fighter scores with a shot to the body.
Hogfish fails to land the takedown. Hogfish looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter swings for the body but Hogfish moves out of range.
Fighter moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Hogfish will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hogfish looks to clinch and Fighter counters with a right hand to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hogfish tries to clinch but Fighter moves away and Fighter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fighter cracks Hogfish with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Hogfish tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Fighter pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Hogfish is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Generic Fighter!
