Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Angelo Jadyn Salalila (ranked 3103 p4p, 4965 weight class) and James Jones (ranked 313 p4p, 412 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angelo Jadyn Salalila!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Jones!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salalila misses with a leg kick
so Jones counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Salalila uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jones blocks a jab.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Salalila feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salalila. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Salalila postures up and lands a big shot to Jones's brow.
Jones looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Salalila slips nicely into half guard.

Jones is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Salalila jumps into side control!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Salalila scores with a couple of short elbows.
Jones is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Salalila is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
It looks like James Jones has been cut.
Salalila controlling the pace for now.
Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Salalila has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jones tries to hold on but Salalila pushes him away.
Jones tries to improve his position but Salalila has taken his back! Salalila has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Jones tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Salalila pushes Jones away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
