Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ted Bundy (ranked 1534 p4p, 1239 weight class) and Neville Southall (ranked 228 p4p, 188 weight class). Ted Bundy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ted Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 22 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neville Southall!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Southall is predictable there

and Bundy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bundy.

Southall escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bundy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Southall keeping moving, preventing Bundy from controlling successfully.

Southall has his foot on Bundy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bundy works his way back into a safe position though.
Bundy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bundy trying to control but Southall is working from the bottom.
Bundy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Bundy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bundy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Southall is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Bundy slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bundy looks up at the clock and then as Southall takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bundy smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Southall is trying to buck Bundy off.
Southall is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bundy avoids the strikes from the bottom by Southall.
Southall tries to escape but Bundy is in control.
Southall is looking for a sweep.
Bundy working the ground and pound.
Bundy lands a decent elbow from side control.

It looks like Neville Southall has been cut.
Southall is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bundy connects with a decent elbow.
Southall taking a bit of punishment here - Bundy scoring with strikes.
Southall manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bundy's best efforts.
Bundy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Southall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bundy passes the guard and advances to mount!
Bundy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Southall is rocked!

That has opened up Neville Southall's cut even more.
Bundy looking to finish Southall with some ground and pound. This is bad for Southall!
Southall is still in real trouble! Can Bundy finish him?

Neville Southall's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Neville Southall's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ted Bundy!
A relieved looking Ted Bundy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
