Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuam Laigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Swick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laigo pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Laigo tries to clinch there but Swick circles away.

Laigo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Swick.
Swick slips a straight right by Laigo.
Swick throws and low kick but Laigo moves out of range easily.
Swick keeps the fight on the outside.
Swick stalks Laigo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Laigo's face. Laigo staggers backwards, shaken.
Laigo thows a body shot but no joy.

and Laigo is countered with a crisp right hand from Swick that sends him to the canvas! Swick follows him to the mat into side control.
Swick is looking to take a break and control but Laigo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Swick stands up.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Swick checks a leg kick.

Laigo tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Swick counters with a nice double leg into side control. Laigo won't be happy with that.

Laigo wants to get back to his feet but Swick is dominant here and he's now got Laigo's back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Swick drops back, looking for a kneebar! Laigo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Laigo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Laigo!
Laigo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Swick lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Yuam Laigo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Swick thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Swick is pressing down on Laigo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Laigo is holding on for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

so Swick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Swick wants to get up but he can't break Laigo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
