The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mills fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with North, pushing him back against the cage.

North wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
North wants a takedown.

Mills has picked North up - he's going for a ride! Mills dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Mills has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mills raining down shots from the mount!

Mills wants to finish this one by submission but North is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mills.
North is looking to get to half guard.
Mills takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

North tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mills sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten North somewhat.

Jesse Mills spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
