Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Porito (ranked 4646 p4p, 6691 weight class) and Dani Acevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Porito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dani Acevedo! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Acevedo clinches with his opponent.

Porito tries to pull guard but Acevedo forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Acevedo avoiding damage.
Porito being controlled against the cage. Acevedo receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Porito tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Acevedo smiles and moves away.
Porito misses with a takedown attempt - Acevedo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Porito. That's going to take a lot out of him. Porito fails with the takedown and Acevedo counters with a single leg into guard. Porito didn't expect that. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Acevedo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Acevedo is pushing down on Porito's leg trying to pass to half guard. Porito is fighting to maintain full guard but Acevedo has managed to sneak the leg through. Acevedo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Acevedo is figuring out what he wants to do next. Porito makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Porito. Acevedo throws a strike but Porito rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Acevedo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Porito sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Acevedo's guard. Acevedo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Porito. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Porito thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Acevedo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Acevedo trying to control but Porito postures up.
Acevedo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Porito haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Acevedo is looking to escape. Porito is keen to just control but Acevedo is a slippery customer. Acevedo tries to get to full guard but Porito has control of the leg. Porito throwing shots but Acevedo is blocking nicely. Acevedo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Porito seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Porito is keen to just control but Acevedo is a slippery customer. Porito stops Acevedo from getting back to his feet.
Acevedo wants to improve his position but Porito is controlling well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Acevedo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Acevedo wants it to stay on the feet. Porito looks for a takedown but Acevedo sprawls well. Acevedo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Acevedo swats away the attempt to clinch by Porito.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Acevedo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Porito defends well and Acevedo ends up having to push Porito into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Porito tries to clinch up. Porito tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Acevedo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Acevedo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Acevedo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Porito eats them both and turns towards Acevedo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Porito moves to clinch but Acevedo breaks away and Acevedo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Acevedo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Porito avoids it really well and circles away. Porito appears to be looking for a counter takedown. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Porito moves in looking to clinch but Acevedo pushes him off. Acevedo moves into range and clinches up with Porito. Acevedo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Porito avoids it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dani Acevedo dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Acevedo shoots in looking for a takedown. Porito tries to sprawl out of it but Acevedo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Porito manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Acevedo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Despite the aggression on Acevedo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Acevedo clinches up against the cage. The referee calls for Acevedo to work.
Acevedo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Porito tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Acevedo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Porito is defended easily by Acevedo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Porito misses with a right hand and Acevedo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Porito fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Porito misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Porito shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Acevedo as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Porito. That's going to take a lot out of him. Acevedo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Acevedo is pushing Porito up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Porito tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Porito working hard to break the clinch. Acevedo goes for a takedown attempt but Porito pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jose Porito is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Porito as Acevedo shoots in. Porito shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jose Porito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Porito tries to clinch there but Acevedo circles away.
A head kick misses from Acevedo. Acevedo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Acevedo drags the fight down to the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Acevedo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Porito tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Porito tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Acevedo just stands there and leans against the cage. Acevedo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Acevedo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Porito pinned against the cage. Porito gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dani Acevedo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Acevedo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Porito stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Porito dives in and grabs Acevedo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Acevedo pushes down on Porito's head and hops out. Porito wants to clinch. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Acevedo. Dani Acevedo seems to be getting the better of the standup. Porito tries for a takedown but Acevedo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Acevedo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Acevedo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Porito tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Acevedo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Acevedo with the counter takedown but Porito avoids it easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Porito is on top in guard.
Porito drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Porito jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Acevedo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Porito is one step ahead there. Acevedo working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Acevedo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Porito forces his way into half guard. Acevedo is looking to improve his position.
Porito thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Acevedo's head. Acevedo looking for submissions off his back. Porito trying to mount his opponent but Acevedo defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Acevedo trying to hold on to Porito's head to control him but Porito postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Porito is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Porito wants to take a breather but Acevedo is having none of it. Jose Porito has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dani Acevedo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Acevedo looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
