Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kick Boxer (ranked 4671 p4p, 25462 weight class) and King Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kick Boxer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Jay!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jay.
Jay is looking to clinch.
Jay fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jay is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
It looked like Boxer was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Jay.
Jay shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Boxer counters with a nice uppercut.
Kick Boxer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jay.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jay tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boxer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Boxer counters with a big right hand! Oh Jay is in trouble here! Boxer follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
