Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stevi Ray (ranked 4618 p4p, 4677 weight class) and Nathan Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Diaz's choice of entrance music: Gangsta's Paradise. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Diaz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ray swivels and escapes.
Diaz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Diaz slips a jab and a cross from Ray.
Ray really is a fat lump.
Good exchange - Ray coming out on top.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ray is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Ray circles away and we're back to standing.

Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Ray, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Ray against the cage but Ray circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Ray sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Stevi Ray is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Ray.
Ray is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Diaz shoots in and drives through. Ray sprawls well.
Diaz doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ray's waist but Ray gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side.
Ray swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.

Diaz dives in for a single leg takedown but Ray sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ray rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Diaz counters with a shoot takedown. Ray fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diaz wants to control from the top but Ray keeps moving.
Diaz pushing down on Ray's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz is keen to just control but Ray is a slippery customer.
Diaz is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Ray!

Diaz is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Ray is forced to tap! Great finish!
