The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveri rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Island counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Samson Oliveri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oliveri tests Island's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Oliveri lands a left and a right that send Island crashing to the mat, dazed. Oliveri thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Oliveri scores with a hook to the body. Island takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Island is still on wobbly legs! Can Oliveri finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Oliveri counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Island! He's just covering up as Oliveri starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
