The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopaenachoal tries to close the distance and clinch but Borschtinski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kopaenachoal. Borschtinski does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kopaenachoal closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Borschtinski quickly recovers to half guard.
Borschtinski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kopaenachoal's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kopaenachoal's back!
Borschtinski is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Borschtinski gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Borschtinski gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Borschtinski apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Kopaenachoal scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Borschtinski is pressing down on Kopaenachoal's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Borschtinski wants to sweep here but Kopaenachoal controlling him for the moment.

Kopaenachoal content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Borschtinski has locked up a guillotine! Borschtinski's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kopaenachoal is holding on here and Borschtinski must be using up a lot of energy. Kopaenachoal has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Borschtinski gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
