Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Van Driesen (ranked 3353 p4p, 2036 weight class) and Mike Ziegler (ranked 187 p4p, 117 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Van Driesen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Ziegler! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Driesen throws an overhand right that lands on Ziegler's shoulder, as Ziegler tries to avoid the shot. Driesen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A big left from Ziegler misses. Driesen fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Driesen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Driesen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Driesen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Driesen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ziegler's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ziegler trying to hold on to Driesen's head to control him but Driesen postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Ziegler with a nice calf kick. Driesen closes the distance and clinches up with Ziegler, looking for a takedown. Driesen pushes Ziegler against the cage but Ziegler circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ziegler ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ziegler throws a jab when Driesen was well out of range. A counter left hand to the body from Driesen misses its target. Ziegler just misses with a punch to the body.
Ziegler throws a leg kick and Driesen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Driesen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Driesen showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ziegler keeping moving, preventing Driesen from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Driesen drops back looking for a leg! Ziegler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ziegler manages to kick Driesen off! Driesen jumps back into Ziegler's guard. Driesen throwing strikes from guard but Ziegler blocks nicely. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Van Driesen dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Driesen blocks the body kick.
An attempted straight right counter from Driesen misses the target. Jab from Driesen. Horrible takedown attempt by Driesen or perhaps it was just good defense by Ziegler, which made it look bad. Ziegler lands a left and a right that send Driesen crashing to the mat, dazed. Ziegler thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Driesen is rocked! Driesen looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ziegler lands a right hand from hell, dropping Driesen. Ziegler pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Ziegler! A relieved looking Mike Ziegler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
