Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Swiss Crunch!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch digs a good body shot into Smith's ribs.
Smith throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Crunch counters with a nice uppercut.
Smith shoots and misses
enabling Crunch to counter with a crisp jab.
Crunch scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Smith is rocked!
Smith tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crunch defends well and Smith ends up having to push Crunch into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Crunch pushes Smith back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Crunch lands with a light punch inside.
Crunch lands a right hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Crunch throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crunch lands a hook to the side of the head.
A body shot lands from Crunch.
Crunch lands a shot to the body.
Smith seems to have got his legs back now.
Smith misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Crunch.
Crunch looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Crunch digs a right hand into Smith's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Smith's gas tank.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Crunch lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Smith misses with a punch on the inside.
A nice left hand lands by Crunch.
Smith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Crunch avoiding damage as Smith throws knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crunch makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Crunch lands a left hand.
Crunch works on Smith's body with a couple of short punches.
Crunch lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Crunch throws a big uppercut that drops Smith! More strikes from Crunch and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Smith lies dazed against the cage as Crunch celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Swiss Crunch!
Swiss Crunch seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Scott Smith stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm not going to make any excuses...The better fighter won tonight. From here we go back to camp and rewatch my fight because you learn from the mistakes you make! Thank you all for coming out and supporting this sport! '.
