The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caruga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Crawley sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Caruga tries for a takedown but Crawley circles away easily
and Crawley counters with a left to the body.

and Crawley connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevo Caruga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Caruga shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Crawley as he avoids it easily.

Crawley slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Caruga throws out a loose jab but Crawley uses good head movement to avoid it.

Caruga half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

and Caruga takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stevo Caruga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Crawley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Crawley with a jab.
Crawley feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Caruga sprawling to the canvas! Caruga rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Crawley finish him?!
Caruga is rocked!

and Crawley counters with a big right hand! Oh Caruga is in trouble here! Crawley follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
