The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoyle has managed to clinch.
Hanen avoids the elbow strike from Hoyle, against the cage.
Hoyle lands an elbow just above Hanen 's eye.

It looks like David Hanen has been cut.
Hoyle misses with a body punch.

Hanen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Hanen lands with a light punch inside.
Hanen misses with the head strike.

Hanen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hanen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hoyle was well out of range. Poor timing from Hanen.
Hanen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hanen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Hoyle rushes Hanen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hanen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hoyle looks to score with a jab to the body but Hanen is just out of range.

and Hanen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hoyle tries to clinch but Hanen is having none of it.
Hoyle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hanen manages to avoid it.
Hoyle throws out a loose jab but Hanen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hoyle's coach down at Monkey Business was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hoyle's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Hoyle takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hoyle wants to clinch but Hanen slips to the side
and Hanen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hoyle takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Hanen connects with a body shot that sends Hoyle's belly button to the back.
Hoyle stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hoyle has managed to clinch.

Hanen tries to circle away but Hoyle has him pinned against the cage.
Hoyle misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hanen is trying to force a seperation but Hoyle has the dominant position.

Hanen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hoyle throws a right hand that misses
and Hanen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hoyle swings widly with a right hand
and Hanen counters with a right hand to the body.
Hanen throws a shot to the body.
Hanen scores with a body shot.
Hoyle on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Hanen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hoyle takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Hanen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hoyle doesn't manage to clinch there - Hanen circles away.
It looked like Hanen wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hanen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hanen is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Hoyle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hanen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hoyle doesn't manage to clinch there - Hanen circles away.

Hoyle takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Hoyle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hanen.

Hoyle tries to get into range but Hanen steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Hoyle! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Hanen scores the big KO victory!
