Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Salazaro (ranked 3860 p4p, 2122 weight class) and Red Greene (ranked 468 p4p, 274 weight class). Red Greene told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jesus Salazaro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Red Greene! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salazaro fakes the leg kick and cracks Greene in the body. Salazaro has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad The Island in the buildup to the fight. Greene blocks a head kick by Salazaro.
Greene looks to land a left hand but Salazaro moved out of range nicely. Salazaro fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Greene checks it well. Salazaro tries to land a front kick but Greene steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Greene blocks the body kick.
Salazaro lands with a nice body kick. Salazaro lands with a nice combination. Greene backs away looking to recover. Greene just misses with a punch to the body.
Greene chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Salazaro can pounce on him.
Red Greene seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salazaro avoids the body shot from Greene.
Salazaro looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Salazaro waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Greene. Salazaro explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Salazaro lands a nice looking body kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Greene ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Salazaro moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Greene fails with a takedown attempt. Salazaro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Salazaro throws a big counter combination but Greene scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Salazaro pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A nice side step and Greene releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Salazaro throws a leg kick and Greene counters with a shoot takedown. Salazaro fights it but they end up in guard. Salazaro controlling Greene's posture. Salazaro keeping moving, preventing Greene from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Greene controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Salazaro wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Greene has gone for a leg lock! Salazaro slips out almost immediately though and dives into Greene's guard. Greene working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazaro trying to control the position from guard on top but Greene is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Salazaro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Salazaro works a leg free and moves into half guard. Greene is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Salazaro's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Salazaro's back! Salazaro is trying to defend against the choke here but Greene has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Greene Tightens the hold and Salazaro taps out furiously! Greene displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
