Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giuseppe Hopkins (ranked 16 p4p, 78 weight class) and Tony Stark (ranked 4 p4p, 11 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 29 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Giuseppe Hopkins! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Stark! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hopkins throws a nice looking combination but Stark bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Stark changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Stark wants to clinch. Stark closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hopkins circles away. Hopkins is looking to counter punch. Stark wants to clinch and Hopkins counters with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stark takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stark fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A little feinted left hand from Hopkins on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Stark shoots in for a takedown but Hopkins shows good takedown defense. Hopkins was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Giuseppe Hopkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Stark. No luck with that takedown attempt from Stark. As Stark backs away, Hopkins returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Stark fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hopkins throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hopkins lands with a kick to the temple. Stark shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Excellent takedown into side control there by Stark. Stark working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Stark throws an elbow but Hopkins slips to the side and avoids it well. Hopkins is looking to regain half guard here but Stark keeps moving and retains side control. Stark swings around for an armbar but Hopkins sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Stark's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hopkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hopkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stark is on top in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stark drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hopkins dives on top into guard. Hopkins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Stark escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hopkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stark is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Stark is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hopkins is aware though and is defending well. Stark is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hopkins defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stark is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Stark is looking for a guillotine. Hopkins throws a series of punches but Stark avoids them all with ease. Hopkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hopkins wants it to stay on the feet. Hopkins stuffs the takedown attempt from Stark. Stark gets slowly back to his feet. As Stark looks to move away, Hopkins throws a big counter combo but Stark just gets out of the way. Stark shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hopkins as he jumps to the side. Giuseppe Hopkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Stark. Stark tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hopkins swivels and escapes. Stark takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
It looks like Tony Stark has been cut. Stark backs away from a small jab... but Hopkins lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Stark crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Hopkins with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Giuseppe Hopkins! Giuseppe Hopkins retains his light heavyweight title! Giuseppe Hopkins was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
