Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Slam (ranked 111 p4p, 232 weight class) and Hero Shima (ranked 19 p4p, 39 weight class). Shima is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by C. R. E. A. M. Hero Shima has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hero Shima!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shima clinches.
Shima struggles to land a body shot inside as Slam controls his hands.

A short body shot lands from Shima as the two fighters clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Shima creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Shima goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Slam lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Shima drives through and clinches with Slam against the cage.

Slam blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Shima goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Shima lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Slam.

Shima pushes off an throws an elbow but Slam leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Slam breaks the clinch.
Slam throws an off balance right hand
and Shima counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Ben Slam has been cut.
Slam misses with the body kick
and Shima counters with a nice uppercut.
Ben Slam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Slam is looking to counter punch.
Slam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Slam fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shima looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Shima misses with an uppercut.
Slam misses with a hook.
Slam looks to land a right hand but Shima moved out of range.

Slam ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shima moves away.
Decent striking displayed by Slam there.
It looks like Hero Shima has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Slam throws a head kick that misses
and Shima counters by moving into the clinch.
Slam blocking some punches.
Slam blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Shima tries to work over Slam's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Slam blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Shima keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Slam's efforts to push away.
Slam breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shima has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A lazy left from Shima finds it's target.
Slam looks to throw the jab but Shima is out of range.
Slam misses with a wild body shot.
Slam swings widly with a right hand
and Shima counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ben Slam's cut is getting worse.
Shima lands a big uppercut and Slam crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Slam looks OK. Shima waves Slam back to his feet!
Slam is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A nice leg kick lands there from Slam.
Shima pounces like a tiger and cracks Slam with a vicious hook! Slam is down but not out! Shima follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Hero Shima!
Hero Shima was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
