Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jyrki Sukulaku (ranked 1014 p4p, 598 weight class) and Guy River (ranked 137 p4p, 83 weight class). River is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gabon National Anthem. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
River steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sukulaku.
Sukulaku throws a sloppy head kick and River moves out of range easily.
River connects with a nice looking jab.
No joy there for Sukulaku, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
River swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Sukulaku connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sukulaku throws a lazy uppercut
and River counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Sukulaku thows a left - swing and a miss!
It seemed like River was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Sukulaku connects with a nice looking jab.
River throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
River ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
River looks like he wants to counter punch here.
River ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
River slips a straight right by Sukulaku.
River feints a counter leg kick.
We've been informed that River has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Sukulaku is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

River is rocked!
Sukulaku throws an uppercut from half a mile away. River sees it coming and avoids it easily.
River is still on wobbly legs! Can Sukulaku finish him?
Sukulaku cracks River on the jaw with a powerful right hand and River falls backwards against the cage. Sukulaku follows up with more strikes that drop River to his knees. Sukulaku keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save River! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jyrki Sukulaku!
After winning the bout, Jyrki Sukulaku thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
