Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Carvaleho!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvaleho moves away from the strike by Revorg.
A lazy left from Carvaleho finds it's target.
Revorg thuds a left hand into Carvaleho's body.
Carvaleho fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Carvaleho lands a nice shot that snaps Revorg's head back.
Carvaleho moves in looking to clinch but Revorg pushes him off.
Revorg stuns Carvaleho with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Revorg checks a low kick from Carvaleho.

Carvaleho closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

My spies in Kung Pao inform me that Carvaleho has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Revorg is staying active underneath Carvaleho, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Revorg drops back looking for a leg! Carvaleho is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carvaleho manages to kick Revorg off! Revorg jumps back into Carvaleho's guard.
Carvaleho manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Revorg manages to get himself to full guard.


Revorg has an active guard here but Carvaleho has managed to pass into half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Revorg's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Revorg is trying to get an arm triangle but Carvaleho is defending well.

Revorg manages to reverse the position and now he's in Carvaleho's guard. Nice work there by Revorg.
Carvaleho has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Carvaleho escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Revorg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Carvaleho has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Revorg fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carvaleho manages to avoid it.

Carvaleho tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Revorg defends well and Carvaleho ends up having to push Revorg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvaleho connects with a good right hand that stumbles Revorg. Revorg circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Revorg looks to throw the jab but Carvaleho is out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carvaleho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Revorg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Carvaleho content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Revorg has locked up a guillotine! Revorg's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Carvaleho is holding on here and Revorg must be using up a lot of energy. Carvaleho has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Revorg gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Repus Revorg!
A relieved looking Repus Revorg thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
