Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Javier Pinales (ranked 1290 p4p, 2510 weight class) and Ryo Hamada (ranked 176 p4p, 322 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Javier Pinales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryo Hamada!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamada jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hamada lands with a nice body punch.
Ryo Hamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hamada swings for the body but Pinales moves out of range.
Hamada lands with an uppercut that bounces Pinales off the cage and back into range.
Pinales changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hamada tries to avoid it but Pinales manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hamada to the ground. Hamada escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hamada throws a one two combo.
Hamada moves into range and connects with a jab.
Pinales slips a straight right by Hamada.
Pinales takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hamada misses with an uppercut. Pinales saw that one coming.
Pinales has been working on his balance at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym , so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Hamada.
Pinales shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hamada pinned against the cage. Hamada gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd cheers as Hamada lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pinales doesn't seem phased though.

Hamada uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pinales has time to react.

Pinales drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hamada looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hamada looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hamada!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hamada connects with a nice short shot to Pinales's temple.

Ryo Hamada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Hamada has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Ryo Hamada was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
