Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Maroni (ranked 4536 p4p, 4488 weight class) and Roman Abramovich (ranked 552 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Don Maroni!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Roman Abramovich!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abramovich decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Let's hope that Abramovich has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Abramovich might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Abramovich swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Maroni is now in Abramovich's guard. A big mistake from Abramovich there, giving up the dominant position!

Abramovich has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Maroni is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Abramovich has Maroni pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Abramovich pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Maroni tumbling to the mat - Abramovich dives into Maroni's guard.

I would just about give that final round to Roman Abramovich.
Well Abramovich has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
