Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sirus Hughes (ranked 2068 p4p, 2534 weight class) and Danny Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Devil "Shinedown". Sullivan has chosen The Pogues - Streams of Whiskey as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sullivan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Hughes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sullivan on his heels. He'll look to pass Sullivan's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hughes has gone for a leg lock! Sullivan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hughes's guard.

Sullivan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Sullivan wants to control from the top but Hughes keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sullivan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hughes haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hughes is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sullivan rolls with it to try and escape but Hughes cranks on the arm and Sullivan is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
