Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucius Aurelius (ranked 2519 p4p, 2587 weight class) and Pedro Bonzela Franco (ranked 339 p4p, 346 weight class). Pedro Bonzela Franco told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucius Aurelius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Bonzela Franco!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelius digs a good body shot into Bonzela Franco's ribs.

Aurelius tries to land knees in the clinch but Bonzela Franco avoids the damage to the body.

Aurelius seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Bonzela Franco has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Aurelius after a bit of a struggle.
Bonzela Franco is trying to trip Aurelius. He has hold of a leg but Aurelius is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bonzela Franco persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aurelius wriggles free and stands up.
Bonzela Franco has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Bonzela Franco tries to score a power double leg takedown but Aurelius sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bonzela Franco somewhat.
Lucius Aurelius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Bonzela Franco.
The crowd cheers as Aurelius lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bonzela Franco doesn't seem phased though.

Aurelius is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bonzela Franco goes for a double leg but Aurelius avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Aurelius continues to drive forward.
Bonzela Franco closes the distance and clinches up with Aurelius, looking for a takedown. Bonzela Franco pushes Aurelius against the cage but Aurelius circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bonzela Franco goes for a double leg but Aurelius avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Aurelius continues to drive forward.

Aurelius throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bonzela Franco walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Bonzela Franco takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Aurelius cracks Bonzela Franco with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
It looks like Aurelius has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Bonzela Franco avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bonzela Franco takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Aurelius is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Aurelius is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Bonzela Franco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Aurelius sprawls well. Aurelius wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bonzela Franco gets slowly back to his feet.
Bonzela Franco on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nice uppercut lands for Aurelius. That snapped Bonzela Franco's head back.
Bonzela Franco is rocked!
Aurelius connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Bonzela Franco to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Aurelius!
