The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Diaz clinches up with Barnes and pushes him back against the cage. Diaz wants the takedown. Barnes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Diaz is looking to escape. Barnes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Barnes has control of Diaz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diaz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
