This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 7 losses; Anthony Lavicci! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 7 losses; Terje Warholm!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Warholm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lavicci tries to avoid it but Warholm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lavicci to the ground. Lavicci escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Warholm tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lavicci defends well and Warholm ends up having to push Lavicci into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Warholm manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lavicci on his heels. He'll look to pass Lavicci's guard now, I'm sure.

Warholm has gone for a leg lock! Lavicci slips out almost immediately though and dives into Warholm's guard.

Lavicci's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Warholm has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at PWNAGE Elite Dojo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Warholm has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lavicci is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lavicci is trying to stick to Warholm's back but Warholm is turning into Lavicci. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lavicci's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Warholm.

Warholm is the more experienced fighter here and he's going to need to draw on some of that experience if he's going to pull this one out the bag.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lavicci working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Warholm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Warholm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lavicci takes the fight on points by 11 to 4.
In his post fight interview, Anthony Lavicci gave a big smile as he said 'Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, però, i will be the biggest grappler in this FUCKING WORLD!!!'.
