Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jovi Dufren (ranked 3932 p4p, 2441 weight class) and Cormac McCarthy (ranked 421 p4p, 279 weight class). Cormac McCarthy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dufren seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

McCarthy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dufren is trying is best to control the position here.
Dufren might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

McCarthy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dufren. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've been hearing good reports from Dufren's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well McCarthy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
