Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie McDermott (ranked 2457 p4p, 1780 weight class) and Jan Moder (ranked 333 p4p, 253 weight class). McDermott kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I'm Shipping up to Boston. Jan Moder has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moder throws a looping overhand right but McDermott ducks down to avoid it.
Moder walks into a straight right hand from McDermott.
Moder tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McDermott was well out of range. Poor timing from Moder.
Moder throws a lazy right hand but McDermott sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Moder feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McDermott sprawling to the canvas! McDermott rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Moder finish him?!
Oh McDermott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McDermott throws a shot from downtown. Moder moves away and avoids it.
Moder uses good head movement to avoid the hook from McDermott.

McDermott looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Moder has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Moder turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
