Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Crosser (ranked 1109 p4p, 2466 weight class) and Niles Standish (ranked 128 p4p, 256 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Niles Standish!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Standish fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Crosser, pushing him back against the cage.

Crosser's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Crosser throws a body shot but no joy.
Crosser keeps the fight on the outside.

Crosser instigates a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Crosser.
Nice body punch from Crosser.

Crosser breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crosser throws a hook to the side of Standish's head but Standish sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Crosser throws a lazy right hand but Standish sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Standish wants to clinch
and Crosser counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Standish misses with a hook from the clinch.
Crosser blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Crosser tries a knee to the head but Standish blocks it.

Crosser pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Crosser swings for the body but Standish moves out of range.
Standish wants to counter the offense by Crosser and move into the clinch position.
