Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Destro Vonstein (ranked 3498 p4p, 4455 weight class) and Sundau Yioang (ranked 365 p4p, 450 weight class). Sundau Yioang will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Destro Vonstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sundau Yioang! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Vonstein. Yioang is letting Vonstein control him for a moment. Vonstein is working Yioang over with some ground and pound from side control. Vonstein tries to score with some ground and pound. Yioang controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Vonstein landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Vonstein tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vonstein has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Vonstein is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yioang knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yioang struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vonstein happy to just control the position for now. Yioang throws Vonstein to one side and escapes! Vonstein gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yioang counters with a lovely straight right hand! Yioang looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Destro Vonstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vonstein shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yioang defends it nicely. Yioang throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A momentary lapse in concentration from Yioang enables Vonstein to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Yioang manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Vonstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Vonstein trying to control the position from guard on top but Yioang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's two minutes gone in the round. Vonstein stops Yioang from standing up. Vonstein throwing strikes but missing. Vonstein prevents Yioang from getting back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. No luck for Vonstein with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Destro Vonstein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vonstein slips under a jab from Yioang. Yioang misses with a hook. Vonstein changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yioang tries to avoid it but Vonstein manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yioang to the ground. Yioang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Vonstein shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yioang defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vonstein looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Yioang! Vonstein is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yioang knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Vonstein is looking to take a break and control but Yioang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Yioang is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Vonstein has just dragged him back down to the mat. Vonstein wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Yioang, who protects the arm well. Vonstein misses with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vonstein prevents Yioang from escaping the position. Vonstein throwing shots but missing, from side control. Vonstein lands an elbow. Vonstein is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Yioang is trying to escape and Vonstein transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Yioang is forced to tap! Nice work there by Vonstein! Very nice indeed!
