Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveri avoids the head kick by Pete.
Oliveri swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Oliveri gets caught napping as Pete dives in and scores a takedown. Oliveri manages to retain guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Pete stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Oliveri fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pete manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Oliveri on his heels. He'll look to pass Oliveri's guard now, I'm sure.
Pete controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Pete gets to his feet. Oliveri looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Oliveri feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Petes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Oliveri enables Pete to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Oliveri manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pete accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Oliveri is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pete pushing down on Oliveri's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Pete maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Oliveri could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Pete has cracked it and Oliveri is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Pete!
