Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kanoa Vatthana (ranked 5735 p4p, 25250 weight class) and Chris Tremble (ranked 511 p4p, 613 weight class). Kanoa Vatthana could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chris Tremble's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kanoa Vatthana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Tremble!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vatthana looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Tremble counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Tremble has Vatthana up against the cage in a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Tremble gets control of Vatthana's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tremble will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Vatthana drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tremble dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vatthana escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tremble gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tremble got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vatthana has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tremble has managed to get both his arms back between Vatthana's legs - danger averted.
Vatthana is trying to control the position but Tremble postures up.
Tremble stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vatthana swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vatthana has his foot on Tremble's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tremble works his way back into a safe position though.

You can see the frustration on Vatthana's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Vatthana misses with a takedown attempt - Tremble sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Vatthana shoots for a double leg takedown but Tremble sprawls well. He's pushed Vatthana's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Vatthana dives in and grabs Tremble's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tremble pushes down on Vatthana's head and hops out.
Tremble wants to counter the offense by Vatthana and move into the clinch position.

Tremble rolls with it to try and escape but Vatthana cranks on the arm and Tremble is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
