Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gen Tenryu (ranked 1262 p4p, 860 weight class) and Alan Spence (ranked 163 p4p, 114 weight class). Spence has chosen Were Coming as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gen Tenryu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Alan Spence !
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spence misses with a hook
enabling Tenryu to counter with a crisp jab.
Spence walks into a left hand.
Spence tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tenryu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tenryu throwing a counter right hand but Spence manages to avoid it.
Alan Spence seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spence misses with a wild body shot.
Spence throws a right hand that misses
and Spence takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Spence connects with the punch.
Spence swings for the body but Tenryu moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spence missing with a left hand there. Tenryu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nice defenses there by Tenryu.
A quick step to the side and Tenryu tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Tenryu jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Spence throws a front kick that sends Tenryu stumbling back into the cage.

and Spence connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Spence looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and Tenryu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Spence rushes Tenryu and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tenryu wants to get back to striking at distance but Spence won't allow it.
Spence tries to work over Tenryu's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Spence stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Spence lands a hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tenryu wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Spence has him pressed against the cage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Spence .
Tenryu is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Tenryu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tenryu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Spence throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Tenryu to counter with a crisp jab.
Spence moves in looking to clinch but Tenryu pushes him off.
Spence tests Tenryu's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Tenryu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Tenryu is looking to counter punch.

The crowd cheers as Spence lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tenryu doesn't seem phased though.
Tenryu moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Alan Spence has been cut.
Spence throws a head kick that misses.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tenryu cracks Spence with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Tenryu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Spence to stand back up!

Spence is rocked!

Spence pushes Tenryu up against the cage in a clinch.
Spence misses with a hook to the ribs.
Spence prevents Tenryu from breaking the clinch.
Spence can't find room to land a body shot as Tenryu controls the action.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Spence .
Spence throws a punch but it's blocked by Tenryu.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Gen Tenryu will probably get the nod.

Spence appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Spence fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A big right from Tenryu misses.
Spence loads up on a big right hand but Tenryu slips the punch.

Spence has managed to clinch.
Spence is looking to control Tenryu's arms but Tenryu gets an underhook and turns him. Now Spence has his back to the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Tenryu's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Tenryu blocks an uppercut.
Spence is leaning against Tenryu and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Tenryu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tenryu throws out a powerful jab.
Spence misses with a hook. Tenryu ducked under it nicely.
Tenryu lands a jab to the nose.
Tenryu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Spence throws a quick inside leg kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Tenryu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tenryu jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tenryu slips under a jab.
It looked like Tenryu was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Spence .
Spence jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tenryu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Spence momentarily.
Tenryu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spence tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A cross from Spence lands.
Spence drops his hands momentarily and Tenryu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Spence is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tenryu.
Spence throws a predictable looking body shot

and Tenryu counters with a crisp right hand that drops Spence ! Tenryu lets Spence back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Spence is still on wobbly legs! Can Tenryu finish him?
Tenryu walks into a stiff left hand from Spence .
Spence seems to have recovered his senses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Spence , as that shot connected.
Spence misses with a low kick.
Spence throws a head kick that misses
and Tenryu comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Spence stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Tenryu is on him like rabid pit bull! Spence slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
