Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John St Clair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Christian Gillet! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick by Gillet misses and St Clair counters with a thumping low kick. Gillet throws a big shot that misses. St Clair throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Gillet looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gillet looks to land a left hand but St Clair moved out of range nicely. A counter left hand to the body from St Clair misses its target. A head kick by Gillet misses and St Clair counters with a flying knee. Nice. St Clair misses with a body shot.

Gillet goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Gillet takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. St Clair throws a head kick that misses. A head kick misses from St Clair. Gillet misses with an uppercut
letting St Clair counter with a right hand. St Clair lands a nice shot that snaps Gillet's head back.
This has been an exciting period of action! Gillet throws a nice outside leg kick. A head kick from St Clair lands but Gillet takes it in his stride. Gillet closes the distance and clinches.

Gillet swings widly with a right hand
and Gillet takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gillet lands an overhand right. St Clair swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gillet. Gillet throws a leg kick but St Clair checks it. St Clair changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Gillet dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on St Clair. That did some damage! No joy there for Gillet, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice uppercut there from St Clair. St Clair has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts in the buildup to the fight. A left lands for Gillet.
It looks like John St Clair has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. St Clair tries to keep at a distance but Gillet has taken the fight into the clinch. St Clair throws an elbow but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for St Clair. St Clair pushes Gillet back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Gillet works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

St Clair is trying to maintain a safe position but Gillet gets an underhook and turns St Clair into the cage. Gillet lands with a short shot to the head. Gillet tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
St Clair is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. With the fighters up against the cage, St Clair throws an elbow but misses. Gillet lands a body punch. St Clair misses with a short punch on the inside. Gillet escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

St Clair scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. St Clair cracks Gillet with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gillet tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but St Clair pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gillet is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John St Clair! Our winner, John St Clair, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
