Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Bross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bross comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gangstarr - Who Got Gunz kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Glenn Edwards has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glenn Edwards! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Bross! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards misses with a two punch combination.
Edwards misses with a hook. Bross ducked under it nicely. Edwards shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Edwards gets the takedown into side control. Edwards working the ground and pound but Bross is defending the strikes. Edwards wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bross keeps working. Edwards misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards working the ground and pound but Bross is defending the strikes. Edwards postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bross holds on to Edwards's head and controls the position momentarily. Edwards tries to move to mount but Bross blocks the move with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Edwards is looking to score with low kicks. Edwards fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bross checks it well. Edwards clinches. Bross with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Edwards tries to break the clinch but Bross is controlling the position. Come on Bross - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on Bross's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Edwards tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glenn Edwards. That's going to take a lot out of him. Edwards is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Bross blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Dan Bross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice jab there from Bross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Edwards is looking to clinch. Edwards moves away from the strike by Bross. Bross moves out of range as Edwards strikes. Edwards fails with the takedown. Bross throws a right hand that Edwards ducks under and follows up with a left that Edwards also avoids with ease. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Edwards tries to clinch up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glenn Edwards dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Bross scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Bross scores with a jab. Bross fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Edwards manages to avoid it. Edwards shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Edwards was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Bross is squirming around, avoiding Edwards's attempts to control the action. Edwards connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bross because Edwards loaded up on that one. Bross wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Edwards.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards misses with a head shot. Edwards has hold of Bross's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bross manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Bross is squirming around, avoiding Edwards's attempts to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards goes for an armbar but Bross turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bross. Edwards can't keep his opponent in guard - Bross advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Edwards trying to hold on to Bross's head to control him but Bross postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Edwards wants to stand back up but Bross manages to pass into side control.
Edwards seems a little lost for a moment, as Bross dominates the positioning. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bross wants to control but Edwards is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Glenn Edwards dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Edwards keeps the fight on the outside. Edwards uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bross. Bross takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Edwards throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Edwards clinches. Edwards displaying some good clinch control by pressing Bross up against the ropes. Both fighters working to control the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edwards lands a right hand. Bross throws a knee to the head but misses.

Edwards wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Edwards tightens his grip and picks Bross up, before dumping him to the ground. Bross manages to land in guard. Bross trying to control the position here. Edwards trying to control but Bross is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards stopping the sweep attempt from Bross. Edwards in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Edwards loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bross working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Edwards trying to control but Bross is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Edwards tries to clinch but Bross moves away and Bross counters with a nice uppercut. Bross throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Edwards.

Edwards shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Poor strikes thrown by Edwards there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Dan Bross has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Edwards is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bross can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Glenn Edwards is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Edwards avoids the attempt from Bross to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bross regains half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Glenn Edwards showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Edwards, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
