Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dino Rex!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dani Acevedo!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Acevedo closes the distance and clinches.
Acevedo jumps guard and drags Rex to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Acevedo wants to sweep but no luck.
Rex is looking to stand up but Acevedo won't let him.
Acevedo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rex gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acevedo pushes a forearm under Rex's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Rex is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
