Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Sterling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimmy Neutron!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Sterling.
Nice shot by Sterling.
Sterling misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sterling scores with a body shot.
Sterling darts in looking for a takedown but Neutron gets double underhooks and turns Sterling into the cage.
Neutron tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Sterling tries to score a body lock takedown but Neutron shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sterling has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Neutron after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Sterling. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sterling stops a takedown attempt from Neutron.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sterling ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sterling no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sterling isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Neutron stacks Sterling on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Neutron!
Sterling wants to control but Neutron postures up.

Neutron is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sterling has escaped the position, nice work there.
Neutron is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sterling is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Sterling is looking for a sweep.
Neutron looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Neutron is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sterling knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neutron working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sterling is trying to improve his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neutron has hold of Sterling's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sterling tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Neutron cranks the arm and Sterling screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sterling, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jimmy Neutron!
