Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Cap (ranked 2789 p4p, 6473 weight class) and Anakoni Kai (ranked 364 p4p, 620 weight class). Robert Cap is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Cap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anakoni Kai!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cap lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kai with a nice cross.
Kai slips a jab and a cross from Cap.
Nice uppercut lands for Kai. That snapped Cap's head back.
A punch combination from Cap misses.
Kai moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cap pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kai looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Cap looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cap misses with a straight left.
Cap tries to clinch
and Kai counters with a low kick, right behind Cap 's knee.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Cap throws a big shot that misses.
Kai showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Cap.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kai. That's going to slow Cap down.

Cap shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kai manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cap trying to control the position from guard on top but Kai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cap is really struggling to control Kai but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Kai bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cap's guard.

Kai seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Cap working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kai stands and throws Cap's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Kai is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
What's Cap going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Kai wants to stand but Cap has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Cap looking for a sweep. Not yet Cap, not yet.
Cap is working hard here to advance position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kai not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Kai connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Kai moves into the clinch successfully.
Kai gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Robert Cap has been cut.
Cap struggles to land a body shot inside as Kai controls his hands.
Kai lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cap trying to stall but Kai improves his position.
Good body shot from Kai.
Cap content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Cap misses with a body punch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Anakoni Kai dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Robert Cap's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cap throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kai.
Cap fails to land the takedown.

Kai takes the fight into the clinch.
Kai lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kai gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Kai cracks Cap with a nice body shot.
Kai makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Cap tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Cap looking to slow down the pace here.
Kai lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Cap is trying to stall.
Kai utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Kai lands an elbow inside.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kai lands an elbow that stopped Cap in his tracks for a moment.
Kai misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cap.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kai creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Kai gets through Cap's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kai scores with a nice hook to the head.
Kai lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Cap tries a body shot but Kai blocks it.
Kai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Cap tries to work over Kai's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Kai scores with a hook to the body.
Kai lands with a right to the head.

Cap is rocked!
Kai lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Oh Cap is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kai obliges.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kai.
Kai dips a shoulder and cracks Cap with a mighty uppercut! Cap falls back against the cage and Kai unloads with a barrage of strikes! Cap is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kai screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anakoni Kai!
Our winner, Anakoni Kai, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
