Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olivier Mr X (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mr X scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mr X thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Murphy's head.
Mr X tries to pass to full mount but Murphy defends it.
Murphy wants to control but Mr X is keeping busy.

Mr X closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mr X connects with a nice short shot to Murphy's temple.

Mr X stands up and beckons Murphy to join him on the feet.

Mr X scores with a couple of short elbows.

Mr X swings around for an armbar but Murphy sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mr X's guard.

Murphy tries to free his leg and advance position but Mr X is retaining full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mr X lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Murphy!

Mr X postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Murphy looks a forlorn figure.

Murphy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mr X does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Mr X shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Murphy's guard.

Mr X drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Murphy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mr X has Murphy in his guard.

Mr X fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Murphy sprawls well initially but Mr X persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mr X has hold of Murphy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Murphy seems comfortable defending it but Mr X has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Murphy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Murphy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mr X couldn't care less - he's delighted!
