The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groughen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Groughen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Dargue wants the takedown. Groughen is fighting it off but Dargue persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Groughen's guard against the cage.
Dargue pushes down on Groughen's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Dargue is pressing down on Groughen's thigh, looking to free his foot. Groughen is holding on for now.

Groughen is refusing to be controlled, as Dargue sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dargue is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Groughen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dargue.
Dargue is nestled in close to Groughen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dargue is controlling the pace.
Groughen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dargue scores with a couple of nice shots.
Dargue is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dargue takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Groughen is bucking up trying to escape but Dargue cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Dargue is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Groughen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Groughen shrugs it off.

Dargue throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Groughen has his hands clasped together but Dargue breaks the hold and Groughen is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Dargue!
