Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yen Mheng (ranked 4616 p4p, 4720 weight class) and Dominick Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cruz's choice of entrance music: Face The Pain. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yen Mheng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dominick Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz shoots for a double leg takedown but Mheng sprawls well. He's pushed Cruz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A slow jab from Mheng misses its intended target.
The fighters circling - Mheng throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Cruz is looking to land body kicks.
Cruz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mheng tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cruz is in Mheng's guard.
Cruz postures up and lands a big shot to Mheng's brow.
Cruz has gone for a leg lock! Mheng slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cruz's guard.
Mheng trying to control but Cruz is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cruz keeping full guard, as Mheng tries to pass.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mheng connects with a couple of short punches.

Mheng throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mheng is working Cruz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Mheng working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cruz's head.
Cruz wants to stand but Mheng is controlling the position.
Mheng controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mheng postures up and lands a big shot to Cruz's brow.
Mheng throws a strike but Cruz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cruz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cruz stands up and waves to Mheng to follow him.
A big right from Mheng misses.
Mheng misses with an uppercut. Cruz saw that one coming.
Cruz is looking for the big counter here.
Cruz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mheng as he avoids it easily.
Mheng feinted with a counter takedown.
Cruz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Cruz slips under a jab from Mheng.
Mheng throws a poor cross that misses
and Cruz counters with a nice uppercut.
The fighters circling - Mheng throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Cruz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mheng throws out the jab.
Cruz moves out of range as Mheng strikes.
Cruz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mheng misses with a hook. Cruz ducked under it nicely.
Mheng takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Yen Mheng has been cut.
Mheng misses the jab.
Cruz slips under a jab.
Cruz appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Mheng throws a lazy right hand but Cruz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cruz pushes Mheng up against the cage in a clinch.
Cruz blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mheng misses with a short punch on the inside.
Cruz breaks from the clinch.
Mheng misses the jab.
Mheng throws a hook to the side of Cruz's head but Cruz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Whack! Cruz lands a heavy head kick that drops Mheng. The ref tackles Cruz to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Mheng was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Dominick Cruz!
