Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Amari Batarseh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails with a takedown attempt.
Batarseh is looking to counter punch.
Batarseh clobbers Smith with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Smith has managed to clinch.
Smith has had enough of the clinch but Batarseh keeps him there for the moment.
Batarseh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith tries to break free but Batarseh pushes him back against the cage.
Batarseh misses with the head strike.
Smith blocking some punches.
Smith tries to break the clinch but Batarseh is controlling the position.
Batarseh fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Batarseh digs a right hand underneath Smith's ribcage. Smith let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Stalling in the clinch from Smith.
Batarseh lands a nice uppercut.
Batarseh scores with a shot to the side of Smith's head.
Batarseh goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Smith pushes off an throws an elbow but Batarseh leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Smith is looking to take this one to the mat.
Batarseh lands a right hand.
Smith jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Batarseh walks away with a smile on his face. Smith gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Amari Batarseh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Smith.

and Batarseh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Smith looks winded!
Smith dives in and grabs Batarseh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Batarseh pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.
Batarseh steps in with a hook that catches Smith right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Batarseh follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Smith looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amari Batarseh!

John Smith was interviewed post fight and said 'he did a great job'.
