Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shane O Malley (ranked 2981 p4p, 24605 weight class) and Jaylen Fatukasi (ranked 0 p4p, 556 weight class). O Malley comes to the cage accompanied by Someone Like Me - by: Jon Connor. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane O Malley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jaylen Fatukasi! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Malley lands a jab to Fatukasi's midsection. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fatukasi. O Malley half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. O Malley stuffs the takedown. Fatukasi throws a leg kick and O Malley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. O Malley drops back looking for a leg! Fatukasi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Fatukasi manages to kick O Malley off! O Malley jumps back into Fatukasi's guard. O Malley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fatukasi's head. Fatukasi keeping moving, preventing O Malley from controlling successfully. We've been hearing that O Malley has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Fatukasi has momentary wrist control but O Malley slips an elbow through the middle. O Malley landing some decent shots from guard. O Malley lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. O Malley working some strikes from top position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. O Malley's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Malley lands a couple of digs. O Malley connects with a couple of short punches.
Fatukasi is rocked! O Malley lands a couple of elbows. Fatukasi is still in real trouble! Can O Malley finish him? O Malley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fatukasi's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fatukasi is trying to control the position but O Malley postures up. O Malley postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Fatukasi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. O Malley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fatukasi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. O Malley defends it easily. O Malley works over Fatukasi with some ground and pound from guard. O Malley thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fatukasi seems to have recovered his senses. O Malley scoring with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Malley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. O Malley distracts Fatukasi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. O Malley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. O Malley makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. O Malley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fatukasi wants to control but O Malley passes easily into half guard.
Fatukasi taking some punishment here, with O Malley in his half guard. O Malley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. O Malley seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Fatukasi has hold of O Malley's hands but O Malley slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Fatukasi looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Malley lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Fatukasi! More strikes land and this one is all over! O Malley jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane O Malley! Shane O Malley spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
