Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adilson Rodrigues (ranked 1202 p4p, 1088 weight class) and Huber Schlesien (ranked 178 p4p, 164 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adilson Rodrigues!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Huber Schlesien!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schlesien with the inside leg kick.
Schlesien misses with a right hand
letting Rodrigues counter with a right hand.
Rodrigues looks to throw the jab but Schlesien is out of range.
Schlesien throws a looping overhand right but Rodrigues ducks down to avoid it.
Schlesien lands the left hand.
It looks like Adilson Rodrigues has been cut.
Rodrigues throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Schlesien to counter with a crisp jab.
Schlesien throws a leg kick but Rodrigues sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Schlesien misses with a body shot.
Rodrigues has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Slaughter Houze in the buildup to the fight.
Schlesien throws a body punch but Rodrigues moves out of range.
Schlesien throws a nice looking combination but Rodrigues bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It appears Rodrigues was looking to counter with a kick there.
Nice defenses there by Rodrigues.
Rodrigues walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rodrigues misses with a straight left.
Rodrigues misses with a body shot
and Schlesien cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Schlesien scores with a jab to the body.

Schlesien tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rodrigues swats him away and circles back towards the center.
It looked like Rodrigues was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Schlesien stuns Rodrigues with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Schlesien moves into range and connects with a jab.
Rodrigues keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rodrigues moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Schlesien tries to clinch up.
An attempted straight right counter from Rodrigues misses the target.
Rodrigues ducks under a wild hook from Schlesien.
Schlesien drops Rodrigues with a right and a left! Schlesien comes rushing in but Rodrigues regains his composure and manages to keep Schlesien in guard.
Rodrigues is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Schlesien thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Schlesien is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schlesien looking to pass the guard.

Schlesien slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Rodrigues is pushing Schlesien's head away, looking to escape. Schlesien manages to hold on to the position though.
Schlesien tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Schlesien tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Schlesien tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Schlesien has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rodrigues is pushing Schlesien's head away, looking to escape. Schlesien manages to hold on to the position though.
Rodrigues is not content to let Schlesien control the position.
Rodrigues tries to escape but Schlesien is in control.

Rodrigues knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schlesien on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Schlesien has an Americana. Rodrigues didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Schlesien is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Schlesien hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Huber Schlesien!
Huber Schlesien decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
