Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Sullivan (ranked 2991 p4p, 2915 weight class) and Gore Poor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sullivan comes into the arena with The Pogues - Streams of Whiskey blaring out of the sound system. Danny Sullivan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Sullivan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gore Poor!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poor misses with an uppercut
and Sullivan counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Poor throws a looping overhand right but Sullivan ducks down to avoid it.
Sullivan slips a jab from Poor.
A big left from Poor misses.
Gore Poor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Poor wants it to stay on the feet.
Sullivan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Poor.
Sullivan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Poor.
Poor looks to throw the jab but Sullivan is out of range.

Sullivan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Poor but Poor pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Poor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sullivans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sullivan has Poor up against the cage in a clinch.
Sullivan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fighters circling - Poor throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
As Poor looks to move away, Sullivan throws a big counter combo but Poor just gets out of the way.
Sullivan takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Poor throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Sullivan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

It looked like Sullivan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Sullivan seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Poor throws a jab but it's blocked by Sullivan.
Poor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Sullivan counters with a left and a right that stings Poor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Poor gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sullivan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sullivan chips away with some ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Danny Sullivan will probably get the nod.

Sullivan shoots in for a double leg but Poor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Sullivan counters with a series of strikes. Poor will be more careful next time no doubt.

Sullivan moves out of range as Poor strikes.

and Sullivan counters with a three punch combo that has Poor backing up. Poor nods at Sullivan to acknowledge the strikes.
Poor is still on wobbly legs! Can Sullivan finish him?
Poor throws a right hand that misses
and Sullivan rattles Poor with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Poor tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Sullivan dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Poor stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Danny Sullivan!
Danny Sullivan spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
