Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bjj Ace (ranked 3543 p4p, 24882 weight class) and Zeeble Bippus (ranked 435 p4p, 648 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bjj Ace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zeeble Bippus!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ace avoids a kick to the body.
Bippus feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Aces jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It looks like Bjj Ace has been cut.
Bippus misses with a head kick.
Bippus's coach down at Reach Around was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bippus's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ace closes the distance and clinches up with Bippus, looking for a takedown. Ace pushes Bippus against the cage but Bippus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bippus thuds his shin into the meat of Ace's side.
Bippus scores with a shot to the body.
Ace fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bippus lands a leg kick that knocks Ace off balance momentarily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bippus is fending him off so far but Ace persists. Nope, Bippus circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bjj Ace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bippus lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ace tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bippus swivels and escapes.

Bippus takes the fight into the clinch.
Bippus lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ace backwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bippus lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ace backwards.
Ace tries to pull guard but Bippus forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ace tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ace is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bippus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ace takes a knee right on the jaw!
Ace is breathing heavily.

I was talking to Ace's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bippus breaks the clinch.

Bippus lands a big head kick that sends Ace tumbling to the mat! Bippus takes a step backwards and waves Ace back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ace is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ace steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bippus. That one must have hurt.
Oh Ace is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bippus bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ace seems to have got his legs back now.
Bippus drops Ace with a naaaaasty hook - Ace is in real trouble here! Bippus dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
