Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ku Kaanaana (ranked 3077 p4p, 3221 weight class) and Gabriel Read (ranked 394 p4p, 414 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Read cracks Kaanaana with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
A left lands for Read.

It looks like Ku Kaanaana has been cut.
Read works Kaanaana's body with a nice hook.

Read lands a jab to the head.
Read lands with a hook. Kaanaana tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Read uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nice uppercut lands for Read. That snapped Kaanaana's head back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kaanaana walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Kaanaana fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Read to the ground. Kaanaana is now in Read's guard.

Read has his foot on Kaanaana's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kaanaana works his way back into a safe position though.
Kaanaana stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Read swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Read has momentary wrist control but Kaanaana slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Read throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kaanaana with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kaanaana forces his way into half guard.
Kaanaana is taking a breather. Read says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Read is looking for a sweep. Kaanaana is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kaanaana drops an elbow to the side of Read's head.

It looks like Gabriel Read has been cut.
Kaanaana passes to full mount!
Read tries to lock up and control but Kaanaana gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kaanaana landing punches.

That has opened up Gabriel Read's cut even more.
Read can't escape the position.
Read tries to hold on but Kaanaana pushes him away.
Read really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Read really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kaanaana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kaanaana wants to control the pace but Read is squirming around nicely.

Gabriel Read's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Gabriel Read's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
