PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Mith (ranked 3855 p4p, 3919 weight class) and Island Miller (ranked 462 p4p, 473 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andre Mith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Island Miller!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Mith as Miller shoots in.
Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mith slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Andre Mith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Island Miller.
Miller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Island Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mith but Mith pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Mith, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Mith against the cage but Mith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Miller is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Mith's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Mith is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Miller doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mith.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Miller shoots in looking for a takedown. Mith tries to sprawl out of it but Miller keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Miller closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mith did well to prevent Miller getting side control.

Island Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Miller has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
